About the Guardian class

Guardian, protector of the battlefield

Guardians arm themselves with a shield and a sword and protect their whole body with heavy armor. They consider bravery, honor, comradeship and the spirit of sacrifice as the most important virtues. As soldiers who have been through difficult training, guardians boast a strong stamina and mentality, and even within the heat of battle they are able to maintain clear reasoning. Guardians command their allies based on their rich tactical knowledge and they are always protecting the frontline and boosting their comrades’ morale.

Core features
	Defense Strong warriors depend on their sturdy armor and shield as well as combat skills to protect themselves and prevent their weaker comrades from being attacked.
	Close Combat It is important for a warrior to be skilled with various weapons. Guardians can deal great damage with their weapons.
	Protect Using the anger built up from receiving or dealing damage, guardians can execute an extremely powerful attack.
	Provoke Forces the enemy to only focus on the guardian by provocation.

Guardians begin the battle by focusing on the defensive rather than the offensive, and they prefer to completely incapacitate their enemy through checks and counterattacks. Guardians not only block their opponent’s attack with a shield but they can also get a few hits or tear down their enemy’s stance and debuff them. The guardian’s various shield skills can easily create a tactically favorable situation even when facing multiple enemies alone. While defending themselves with steel like will and patience, once they see a chance they will inflict a satisfying blow that will determine their victory at once.

When fighting with their allies, guardians are usually tasked with blocking the enemy’s attacks on the frontline. By drawing their enemy’s attention with their strong presence, guardians not only protect their comrades who have a weak defense but also provide an opportunity for attacks. Occasionally, guardians show outstanding leadership by giving out military orders or by boosting his comrades’ morale.

Although guardians are usually in charge of defense in group combat, they can deal great damage by inflicting a critical counterattack when their enemy is careless.

Effects of equipping armor

Medium armor

- Chances of defending with a shield increases by 0.7% per part
- Fighting power increases by 5% and when defending with a shield, the next attack’s damage increases when 7 parts are equipped,

Heavy armor

- Chances of defending with a shield increases by 0.7% per part
- Maximum health is increased by 5% and energy is recovered when defending with a shield when more than 7 parts are equipped

Guardians use “bravery” when in combat and at most, 5 bravery can be collected.

Bravery can be recovered through various methods during combat.

A skill’s power is proportional to the amount of bravery consumed, therefore if you utilize bravery well you can inflict as much damage as a dealer.

Escape / Defensive mechanism

The Guardian’s Defensive mechanism is Endure.

All harmful status effects will be removed and you will be immune from all damage and status effects for the duration of the skill.

Allies in the rear will also not receive damage.

How to use

To use Endure you have to press the Shift key on your keyboard and 30 energy would be consumed upon use with 10 energy per second being consumed for as long as it is activated.

Endure

All harmful status effects will be removed and for as long as it is activated you will be immune to all damage and physical status effects such as the crowd control effect and floating. Damage to allies located behind the guardian will also be reduced by 90%. While the skill is activated one bravery is gained when attacked. This skill is activated for as long as you press the activation key, but once all of your energy has been consumed the skill will once again become inactive.

Guardians are the spiritual successors of the Lumen Empire’s infantry lieutenant general – Partizan who once ruled over the continent.

Guardians arm themselves with the standard Partizan uniform of a sword, a shield, and protect themselves with thick armor.

According to Partizan tradition, guardians consider bravery, honor, comradeship and the spirit of sacrifice as the most important virtues.

As soldiers who have been through difficult training, guardians boast a strong stamina and mentality, and even within the heat of battle, they are able to maintain clear reasoning.

Guardians command their allies based on their rich tactical knowledge and they are always protecting the frontline and boosting their comrades’ morale.

Today, the most famous guardian groups are the Knights of the Habichts Empire, who consider themselves to be the Partizan’s successors, and Navarra’s Knights of the Sun, who originates from the Southern Lumen Corps.

The protectors of El Gradis’s Tree of Life (Antas Adantar), and Spezia’s garrison (Guardia Speziana) are also known to be powerful guardian groups.
